Mumbai: Actor Shruti Haasan was allegedly attacked this morning by a stalker at her apartment in Mumbai. The website 123telugu.com reports that when the 27-year-old opened her door, a man grabbed her throat and force his way into her home. She slammed the door on his hand and he then ran away. Her spokesperson told NDTV that she has not yet filed a police complaint and is "very shaken." Ms Haasan, daughter of famous Tamil actor Kamal Haasan, has acted in Hindi movies like Luck and Ramaiya Vatavaiya, but has done most of her work in Telugu films.

Reacting to the attack on the actress, famous south actress Khushbu Sundar posted a tweet saying, "@shrutihaasan hey brave lady..hope things r fine..take care dear..loads of love n hugs..." Another co-star and VJ-turned-actress Sophie Choudry also expressed her displeasure over the incident. She posted a tweet: "@jiteshpillaai @shrutihaasan OMG.. Big hug babe.Thank God ur ok. We all used to say this is one of the safest cities. So scary!"

Shruti Haasan made her Bollywood debut in Imran Khan and Sanjay Dutt starrer 'Luck' and was last seen in Prabhu Deva-directed 'Ramayya Vasthavayya'. She also did a cameo appearance in her father's film 'Hey Ram'.
