Indian commits suicide in Jeddah airport restroom

Jeddah: An Indian worker in Saudi Arabia has hanged himself inside a restroom at the departure lounge of Jeddah's international airport. The unnamed Indian was on an exit-only visa. After completing all formalities at the departure lounge, he had suddenly tried to jump on a woman who was waiting to board the same plane he was supposed to board, the Saudi Gazette reported yesterday quoting airport director Abdulhameed Abalaree. Subsequently, the airport authorities disallowed him from boarding the plane as he posed a threat to other passengers. Though police arrested him after the attempted assault, he hanged himself in the restroom where he went on the pretext of relieving himself, the report said.
