'Maleficent' becomes Jolie's highest grossing film

Los Angeles: Angelina Jolie starrer Disney fairytale 'Maleficent' has crossed the USD 500 million mark at the box office, making it the highest grossing film of her career. Jolie's previous career best earning was in 'Mr & Mrs Smith' where she starred with Brad Pitt. The 2005 film took in USD 478.2 million at the box office, according to the Hollywood Reporter. 'Maleficent', which saw Jolie playing the role of vengeful fairy, has enjoyed impressive staying power. The film continues to earn money in its fourth weekend.
