London: Nehru centre London, with the Support of V.K.Krishna Menon Institute is conducting a programme on 3 rd May on the 125 Birth anniversary of V.K.Krishna Menon. The Programme named remembering V.K Krishna Menon will be held at 3 PM on coming Monday( 7.30 IST). Krishna Menon remembrance is annually conducted at London jointly by Nehru Centre and V.K Krishna Menon Institute.
Krishna Menon, who was a freedom fighter and founder of India League, was the first High commissioner of India, in London , He was a former defence minister of India , a renowned diplomat and Indian Politician.
Menon was the right hand of Jawaharlal Nehru and helped very much to formulate the foreign policy of India. He helped Nehru very much for the formation of Non aligned movement which was supported by more than hundred Nations.Krisha Menon was a labour party member and he was elected four terms as the labour councillor from St Pancras.
The function will be opened with the introductory address of Dr.Cyriac Maprayil. Hon'ble former Minister of state Sir Peter LLoyed will deliver the keynote address. Dr.Mohan Kaul also will address the function.
A documentary on V.K. Krishnamenon will be screened in the function. There will be a question and answer session by the end of the programme. The function will be held via Zoom.It will be live telecasted by the youtube channel of Nehru centre, and will be screened in facebook live of Nehru centre London . All are welcome to the program,
