Northern Province Chief Minister Wigneswaran has declined a welcome in Colombo

Northern Province Chief Minister C.V. Wigneswaran has declined a formal welcome in Colombo following his swearing-in on Monday, the Hindu Education Society’s Secretary, Mr. K. Neelakandan said.



He had told the organizers that his election need not be celebrated, that the time was not opportune for celebrations and in any event he was leaving for Jaffna immediately after the swearing to prepare for Tuesday’s visit to Jaffna of the Indian foreign minister.
