Jeremy Corbyn,the Gandhian Humanist,makes History

The Mother of Parliaments should be very proud of Jeremy Corbyn, one of her most mature, sincere, hardworking, committed and principled sons who just got elected to be the Leader of the Labour Party and as a result the Leader of the Opposition. After the most successful Labour Governments under Clement Attlee and Harold Wilson the labour leadership gradually started being more and more preoccupied about winning elections rather than upholding its moral, social and political value based ideology. As a result, the Trade Union Movement of the British working class , as opposed to the privileged/middle class that brought about the Labour Party entered an increasingly machiavellian and pragmatic path and, in the process, suffered an erosion of its pristine value-based approach. Therefore, the electorate as a whole found it difficult to differentiate one party from the other.

The New Labour with its Spin Doctors tried to bury the real labour movement and its pacifism, universalism and compassion for the deprived sections of the electorate. The Tory -Liberal coalition Government of the recent past was practically a continuation of the New Labour strategy of supporting the survival of the fittest .As a result, large sections of the electorate got disillusioned with the main political parties and ceased to participate in party politics-some took refuge in fringe groups/parties like UKIP.

MP’s allowances’ misuse scandal made the situation even worse and the a new perception among the youth of some politicians as devious and hypocritical as opposed to selfless and patriotic representatives of the nation started gaining wider recognition.Jeremy Corbyn is one of the longest serving, dynamic, visionary and patriotic MPs.He is a Gandhian humanist with a messianic charisma, compassion and zeal for creating a world free of violence ,poverty and discrimination.Diaspora Indians settled in this country will have no problem to understand ,appreciate and support his and work for the entire nation.
