Chennai: Tamil evening daily "Maalai Murusu" promoter B. Ramachandra Adityan passed away here Wednesday due to heart attack. He was 80, his family said. He is survived by his wife, a daughter and two sons. Adityan, the eldest son of media baron S.P. Adithanar, started the Tamil weekly "Devi" and Tamil monthly "Kanmani" and also headed the evening daily. He also ran a morning daily "Kathiravan" for some time. In her condolence message, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa said Adityan had more than 50 years of experience in the media field. DMK president M. Karunanidhi, MDMK general secretary Vaiko and several other political leaders also offered condolences.
