Indian-origin couple found dead at their home in UK

London: An Indian-origin married couple have been found dead at their home in west London, police said. Poonam, 35, was found dead on Friday at the home in Priory Way, Western Road, Southall, the Metropolitan Police said, adding she had been killed by "compression of the neck". Her 36-year-old husband, Sanjeev Kumar, was found hanged nearby. His death is not being treated as suspicious and police said they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths, the BBC reported. A spokesman said officers were called to the address on Friday afternoon after residents became concerned for the couple's welfare. The couple's next of kin have been informed.
