Indian jailed for five years in Bahrain for selling drugs

DUBAI: A 41-year-old Indian manager has been jailed for five years and fined for selling banned party drug in Bahrain, a media report said on Monday. The Indian along with a 37-year-old Sri Lankan driver were sentenced by Bahrain's high criminal court on Sunday for selling methamphetamine, the Gulf Daily News reported. Both the accused were fined Bahraini dinar 3,000 (around $7,960). The court also sentenced another co-defendant, a 34-year-old Bahraini, for two years for using and possessing prescribed pills and heroin, the report said.
