Indian fest in Abu Dhabi from Dec 5

Dubai: An apex organisation of the Indian community in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) capital Abu Dhabi will organise the "India Fest Season 4" from December 5 to 7, a media report said on Saturday. The India Social and Cultural Centre (ISC), the largest socio-cultural organisation of the Indian community in Abu Dhabi, will organise the event in collaboration with the Indian embassy in Abu Dhabi, Gulf News reported. Indian Ambassador to the UAE MK Lokesh will inaugurate the event December 5.

The embassy's cultural wing has reportedly arranged an 18-member folk dance troupe from Punjab to perform at the event. Over 100 artistes from India and the UAE are expected to perform in the three-day festival. Indian percussionist Stephen Devassy is set to perform on the opening day. Actors Shakti Mohan and Mukthi Mohan will also entertain the audience with their performances December 6. Popular Malayali magician Raj Kalesh will present a magic show, especially for children. A team from south India will perform the traditional art forms of Karakattom and Kalaripayattu.
