Prabhu Deva is a perfectionist, tough task-master: Shahid

Mumbai: Actor Shaid Kapooor has revealed that Prabhu Dheva was a tough task-master Prabhu Dheva and made him rehearse for hours for the dancing and action scenes in 'R...Rajkumar'. "I thought I was a decent dancer till Prabhu Dheva made me dance and directed me. I realised how tiring it became as he made me rehearse for hours despite me being little unwell. I realised how tiring it is to do action and dancing in his films. I have broken, injured almost every part of my body while working with him," Shahid told reporters here. The actor launched the song 'Gandi Baat' on the sets of dance reality show 'Dance India Dance'.

"He (Prabhu Dheva) is a talented person and I am a big fan of him. He is a genius in true sense, style (and) is immensely magnificent. He attracts detailing, conceives ideas originally," the actor said. Prabhu Dheva previous films like 'Wanted' and 'Rowdy Rathore' were blockbusters at the box office and Shahid is in need of a hit after the poor performance of his last few releases. Shahid, who is working with Prabhu Dheva for the first time, said he initially found Prabhu Dheva reserved and quiet.

"I understood him (Prabhu Dheva) a better day by day after we started working together. He takes care of his artistes and spreads positivity. He makes happy and entertaining films," Shahid said. On the occasion, Prabhu Dheva also showered praise on Shahid for his dance skills. "He (Shahid) is a tremendous dancer and I have used him in a best possible way. He did good dance in a bar set-up for the first time... He danced from heart. Before doing this song, he had hurt himself badly but he showed no pain and did it (the song)," Prabhu Dheva said.
