Dubai: The first-ever consumer-focused Indian luxury show here has attracted participation of a number of exhibitors showcasing their products and offering an insight into luxurious lifestyles. The three-day Royal India-2013 Luxury Show hosted a significant number of hand-picked exhibitors from India, specialising in luxury products, services and experiences in travel, shopping, arts, lifestyle and wellness. The corporate world showed keen interest in exploring opportunities at the event, which was inaugurated on Saturday in the presence of Indian ambassador to the UAE M K Lokesh.

The show, had about 3,000 visitors, UAE's WAM news agency reported. "Travel between the two countries was driven by necessity such as business, work, education. Now luxury has added a new dimension to this relationship," Lokesh said. Parvez Dewan, Secretary of India's Ministry of Tourism, said that Royal India Luxury Show will create conducive environment that further enhances the luxury tourism sector in India at a global marketplace and Middle East, particularly the UAE.
