Three Indians killed in Oman road accident

Dubai: Three Indians have been killed while another Indian and an Omani national were seriously injured in a road mishap in Oman, a media report on Sunday said. The Indians, hailing from Kerala were killed while they were travelling to Muscat from Sur on Saturday morning. The victims have been identified as Fincer, Shibu Samuel, and Anil. The injured Indian has been identified as Iqbal. He is undergoing treatment for eye injuries at a local hospital.


The name of the Omani national, critically injured and lying in hospital is yet to be identified, the Times of Oman reported. "All the four Indians were travelling to Muscat. Anil, friend of Shibu, had come on a visit visa to Oman last week. After, visiting his relatives in Sur, he was travelling back to Muscat when the tragedy happened," victims' friends said. "Shibu had come to Sur to celebrate his child's first birthday on Saturday," they said. "The bodies are kept in Sur hospital," they added.
